2009 Real Estate Trade Expo
The 2009 4th Annual BOMA/IFMA/IREM Real Estate Trade Expo was held May 21, 2009 at the Sheraton Chalet at Westport Plaza in St. Louis, Missouri. The collaboration of these organizations to present an event of this magnitude is phenomenal. A committee comprised of representatives from each of the organizations worked extremely hard to make sure the trade expo was a valuable experience by providing networking and overall professional development. Facility managers and real estate professionals found the event to be educational, informative, a fun way to explore new products, and meet new potential vendors. By combining the efforts of these three organizations, IFMA, BOMA, and IREM, a tremendous event was enjoyed by all in attendance.

Sachs Electric - New Division
Along with the expansion of Sachs Select, Sachs Electric has also announced the promotion of Joseph T. Barnard to Vice President, Sachs Select. Barnard began his career at Sachs Electric in 1993 as a Project Engineer. Since then he has been a Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, Group Manager, and most recently an Assistant Vice President, responsible for the Service Department. Barnard brings a great deal of experience and diversity to Sachs Select. He has directed and managed projects in many areas of Sachs Electric, both regionally and nationally, including data centers, commercial and retail developments, airports, power generation, and medical facilities.

VERTEGY’S LANHAM APPOINTED PRESIDENT OF THE INTERNATIONAL FACILITY MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION’S ST. LOUIS CHAPTER
St. Louis, July 1, 2009 … Grant Lanham, operations specialist with Vertegy, a St. Louis-based sustainable consulting firm, has been appointed President for the St. Louis Chapter of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA). Lanham will be officially installed during the organization’s chapter meeting on July 22nd at Solae.
