Program & Education Committee
A sub-committee of the Professional Development Committee. The committee develops monthly membership programs for the St. Louis Chapter of IFMA, ranging from paid out-of-town, speakers, to local corporate facility tours/programs. The committee also develops relationships with other similar organizations to share or co-sponsor special programs/events. A committee member is asked to assist in recommendations for monthly programs, speakers and facilities that will host program meetings. A committee member is responsible for the coordination of one or two programs per year. This sub-committee is chaired by Don Finnegan – dfinnegan@ehi.com.
Education Credentials
A sub-committee of the Professional Development Committee. The purpose of this committee is to provide educational opportunities and support to obtain a Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facility Management Professional (FMP) designation and Sustainable Facility Professional (SFP). Committee responsibilities include: establishing continuing education level FM courses; establish FM degree program at a local education institution; improve membership awareness of the CFM process, increase number of CFMs in the chapter and promote and coordinate CFM study group. Member Engagement Committee
Membership Engagement Committee, chaired by Jeff Touchette -
is responsible for identifying and attracting prospective new members by reaching out to facility managers and vendors, with special emphasis on professional member recruitment. Committee reviews monthly membership data and identifies trends in the industry. In addition, this committee is responsible for the retention of current members. Committee members will place phone calls prior to meetings, serve as greeters at events, encourage membership renewals, and plan new member programs twice per year. Partner with IFMA Sponsorship Program
A sub-committee of the Sponsorship Committee. chaired by Greg Zuzack – gzuzack@rlandco.com.
The main responsibility of the committee is to encourage members to participate in the Partner with IFMA Program. Proceeds from this fund-raiser subsidize the chapter’s monthly educational programs. Committee members are needed in making phone calls to the membership.
Golf Classic Committee
A sub-committee of the Sponsorship Committee, chaired by Jennifer Tichacek –
The committee is responsible for coordinating the annual golf tournament. This event is the chapter’s main fundraiser. This sub-committee is chaired by Jennifer Tichacek – Jennifer@crmechanical.com
Marketing Committee
Marketing Committee, chaired by Vicki Woodside – The primary focus of this committee is to spearhead the communication platform for the organization. A monthly newsletter will be distributed to the membership informing them of events and schedules, provide informational background articles covering subject matter of interest, and to communicate “members in the news” topics as well as IFMA International topics. The Communication Committee will interface all chapter communication from staff and leadership to membership, from committees to membership and releases to local media. The information will be communicated by utilizing e-mail, the web site, and social media. This committee is chaired by Vicki Woodside – vwoodside@ciselect.com
Web Site Committee
A sub-committee of the Marketing Committee, chaired by Vicki Woodside – The main focus of this committee is to provide direction and recommendations for the IFMA St. Louis web site. The web site contains up-to-date chapter information, membership rosters and resources for members of the association. It is used for communicating events, program recaps, job banks, educational opportunities, highlighting IFMA International happenings, sharing facility management related information and articles, as well as a marketing tool to share information with potential IFMA St. Louis members. This committee is chaired by Vicki Woodside – vwoodside@ciselect.com.
Social Media Committee
A sub-committee of the Marketing Committee, chaired by Vicki Woodside – Social Media is an increasingly important part of an organization’s communication strategy. The Social Media committee will provide structural framework and guidelines for use of the site to complement and support the chapter’s overall communication plan. The most popular social media sites will be explored first and will include, but not limited to, Facebook, Linkedin and Twitter. By establishing a social media presence, the chapter will connect to a younger demographic, the technically savvy professional, and increase chapter awareness and public relations.
